Effective date: 23 December 2025

In case of any discrepancy between the English and French versions of this policy, the French version shall prevail.

The version of this document written in French is available here.

1. Collection of Personal Data

1.1 Standard Use of Services

The standard use of the Lux application involves no collection of personal data, including location data, IP address, or connection logs. Such standard use is limited to viewing departures, calculating routes, and conducting searches.

1.2 Use of the Crowdback Service (Reporting)

The Crowdback service, employed for submitting and consulting reports related to transport status, collects personal data solely in the event that you submit a report. Such data notably includes:

The IP address is systematically pseudonymized via cryptographic hashing (digital fingerprint), rendering direct identification from the database impossible. This data is strictly used for abuse prevention purposes and is automatically deleted seven (7) days after the report submission date.

The geographic location is therefore associated with the hashed IP only during this limited period and cannot be used for tracking or profiling beyond that. These data are necessary to ensure the relevance of reports and to calculate statistics transmitted to the user.

Merely viewing reports does not entail any collection of personal data.

1.3 Policy Amendment in Case of Inaccessibility

In the event that the main server of the Lux application (lux.cclerc.ch) becomes inaccessible for any reason, including but not limited to maintenance operations or technical failures, the application will automatically switch to the Transitous service.

In such cases, the Transitous Privacy Policy shall fully apply and shall take precedence over the Lux application Privacy Policy for the duration of the inaccessibility.

If no message is displayed within the application, the unavailability shall be deemed to be indicated, without any warranty, through the Lux application’s Cronitor service.

Data concerning disruptions transit through a third-party server. However, each request is proxied via a server operated by Lux. Consequently, Lux does not guarantee the collection or processing of data relating to consultation times. Such data, when collected, cannot identify a user due to the proxied nature of the requests.

2. Analytics Data

Lux does not directly collect any analytics data, except for those collected by Apple and the App Store.

Certain usage records are stored locally on the user's device to enhance the experience (preferred lines, suggestions, tips). These data are never transmitted or synchronized with external servers.

3. Transmission of Data to Third Parties

Lux undertakes not to transmit any personal data of users to third parties, except in cases expressly mentioned in this privacy policy. In particular, apart from the exchanges explicitly described in the preceding sections, no personal data, information, or content is communicated to external service providers or partners.

Moreover, Lux does not retain any user activity logs that would allow tracing or identifying the actions performed by a user within the application. As a result, it is materially impossible to comply with any request from an authority or third party regarding consultation, disclosure, or monitoring of user activities.

This absence of log retention guarantees the confidentiality and anonymity of users in connection with their use of Lux services.

4. User Rights

Under applicable privacy laws, including the GDPR, users have the following rights concerning their personal data:

To exercise any of these rights or for any questions about your privacy, please contact us at [email protected].

This privacy policy may be modified at any time without prior notice, notably to comply with legal and technical developments.
